A Houston community center has been working to renew its child care services while hosting most of its programs after the Third Ward building caught fire before Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Melted or burned furniture, artwork, books and mats were taken out of the more than 55-year-old SHAPE Community Center. The lingering smell of burnt wood, plastics and paper filled the interior.
